How to get to Kildonan Farm by car

If traveling by car when leaving the ferry at Brodick pier turn left onto the A841. Travel on through Lamlash and Whiting Bay enjoying the scenery. After pasting Whiting Bay travel for another four miles until you reach a turning to the left marked Kildonan (at the Green Hut). Travel down the hill for half a mile until you reach an hair-pin bend to the left, the track to Kildonan House is on this bend. You are advised to book cars in advance (definitely during peak holiday times). If you plan to do some island hopping or exploring a small car ferry runs between Lochranza and Kintyre during the summer months.

 

The Arran Ferry
The main ferry service on Arran leaves from Ardrossan on the west coast of Scotland and travels to Brodick. Another ferry runs in the summer from Cloanaig on the Mull of Kintyre to Lochranza in the North of Arran.

How to get to Kildonan Farm using Public Transport

A train and bus service from Glasgow connects directly with the Arran Ferry. The buses connect with the ferry timetable, the 323 service travels from Brodick Ferry Terminal to Kildonan via Lamlash and Whitting Bay.
